In a large pan heat about 2 tbsp of oil and add the onions and the next 10 ingredients.Bring to a boil.
Reduce the heat, cover and cook until the chicken is cooked and the water has evaporated completely.
Once ready discard the green cardamom and cinnamon stick.
Transfer the mixture into a food processor and blend to make a paste.
Empty into a deep mixing bowl and add the additional ingredients.
Using your hands make small round patties.
Deer fry or shallow fry in batches until golden on both sides.
Serve hot with your favorite chutney.
